Plumber Apprentice/Ditch Hand| In this role you will…
Assist our plumbing team with installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems. This is an entry-level position ideal for individuals interested in learning the plumbing trade through hands-on experience. The role involves physical labor, outdoor work, and supporting licensed plumbers in commercial construction environments.
  • Assist plumbers with installation, repair, and maintenance of pipes, fittings, fixtures, and drainage systems
  • Excavate and backfill trenches for water and sewer lines using hand tools and/or light equipment
  • Prepare work areas, tools, and materials as directed by the lead plumber
  • Load, unload, and organize tools, materials, and equipment at job sites
  • Measure, cut, and assemble pipe or tubing sections as instructed
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, following all safety procedures
  • Assist in testing plumbing systems for leaks and proper operation
  • Perform general labor tasks and support other crew members as needed

What we look for:
  • Required Qualifications
    • High school diploma or GED (preferred)
    • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites
    • Willingness to work outdoors and perform physical labor in varying weather conditions
    • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and perform repetitive tasks
    • Strong work ethic and eagerness to learn the plumbing trade
    • Basic mechanical aptitude and use of hand/power tools
    • Ability to follow directions and work effectively as part of a team
  • Preferred Qualifications
    • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification
    • Previous experience in commercial construction plumbing
    • Knowledge of trenching, excavation, or pipe insulation
    • Bilingual in English and Spanish (a plus)
